Elevating Bales...
 The Zimmerman "380" Portable Elevator combines a reliable top drive with a #50 single pitch roller chain. You can move up to twenty four 48" bales per minute with flights set at 4 ft. intervals. Flights are made from 12 gauge reinforced galvanized steel to eliminate bending. Non-tilt heavy duty flights keep bales from tumbling back, even at a practical and safe 50° maximum elevation. The Zimmerman "380" can be powered with an optional electric motor, or with Bottom Drive PTO.

Elevating Ear Corn...
 Put more corn in the bin per hour... and save valuable time during your busy harvest season... with a Zimmerman "380" Portable Elevator. The "380" has 4½" rugged non-tilt flights that run the full width of the trough for smooth handling. A corn screen and hopper are standard equipment. A baffle plate keeps ear corn from jamming in the bottom of the elevator. To make ear corn handling even faster, an optional set of flights reduces space between flights from 4 ft to 2 ft.

Features

  • Elevator can be raised to full elevation without fear of collapsing. A 40 ft. elevator can lift bales and ear corn to a height of 31 ft. Uses #55 standard steel detachable chain or optional #62 chain to convey material. Chain rides on wooden stripes which lengthens life of chain and trough bottom and allows for a quiet operation. Hand crank has a new built-in self-activating friction brake assuring safer operation by eliminating the danger of the winch handle slipping from your hand and spinning out of control. Standard htich is supplied. Wheels have tapered bearing making elevator more portable.
  • Corn Screen ... Standard equipment corn screen keeps trash and loose grain from entering storage bins to block the flow of air through stored ear corn. To suit varying conditions, a metal slide can close the holes in the screen.
  • Top Drive ... Saves power, lengthens chain life. While the top half of the chain works, the bottom half coasts. Chains last longer and don't kink. Safety guard over the driver sprockets and chain is standard. Bale turner and platform are optional. Can be set to deliver bales to the right or left.
  • Discharge Chute ... Optional chute is quick and easy to install or detach. The 4' spout can be set to discharge right, left or straight ahead. Gives an easy to control constant flow of ear corn in any direction.

The 480 Series Elevator is an elevator designed to meet a variety of applications. Manufactured of 16 gauge galvanized steel or stainless steel it is a lightweight yet sturdy machine to help you load or unload more efficiently. Featuring a belt speed of up to 300 feet per minute it will definitely speed loading time. Its ball bearings can be greased regularly to keep them operating smoothly. The hand crank has a built in self-activating friction brake assuring safer operation by eliminating the danger of the handle slipping out of your hand and out of control. Also available is the option of a trailer hitch allowing you to transport it from job to job. The axles also have quality ball bearings enabling you to tow the machine at road speeds comfortably.
